From the Principal
This week is very busy at Ss. Peter & Paul’s. Students are involved in many different events . It is all part of a commitment to educate the whole person and see that we can enjoy and excel at more than school work. Our students have represented the Northern Region at the Arch Diocesan athletics today . Our best public speakers are competing tomorrow at the Northern Region Public Speaking and students have excelled to reach the regional final of NSW Primary Schools Chess Tournament . I appreciate the efforts of staff & parents in helping students compete in these events.’
STAFFING CHANGES
With people going on leave their will be some changes to classes this term .
Jasmin McKenna will be taking Cathy McCarthy’s position while she is on Long Service Leave from 25th August till the beginning of Term 4.
Emilie Wade will be on Mr. Collinge’s class for his leave from 1st September till the beginning of Term 4 .
Kristy Kmet will be joining the staff for 3 days a week to help with casual relief .
We welcome Jasmin & Kristy to our school. .
Sadly, Mrs Tory Simmons our Welfare Co=Ordinator /Classroom Support Assistant will be leaving us on 5th September to take on a different position. Tory has made an outstanding contribution to our school & she will be missed. She has been a friendly face on the playground before school to help parents with separation issues. She has run a quiet room in second break to support those who need time out from the hustle & bustle of school . She has helped in the background to make our “Fathering Project” a big success . I admire her efforts to help with student welfare and our multilit reading programme. She has built strong bonds in the school community and we will miss her smile , good nature & professional approach in our school . We wish her the best in her new role.
I will be advertising for a new Classroom assistant shortly.
