Last Friday’s Walkathon was a lot of fun . Thanks to those who came along to help & encourage. Remember you can send your money in via Qkr app or in cash to the school office . Thanks to all those who generously sponsored our students,
Quota Public Speaking Competition
Good luck to Astrid Schmidt who has been chosen to represent the school at the 2025 Quota Public Speaking on next Wednesday evening. I am sure she will do a great job.
Staffing & Classes
Catholic Education Office has written to me to support the school having 3 kindergarten classes in 2026 . This will mean the school will have 16 classes in 2026.
We will be having three Kinders , three Year 1’s ,two Year 2’s,two Year 3’s, two Year 4’s ,two Year 5’s & two Year 6’s . Our numbers are strong in most year levels & there are limited spaces for new enrolments. My thanks to you all for speaking positively about our school . This unofficial ‘marketing’ has led to many more families making our school their first choice in Goulburn.
There will be some changes in staffing later in the term and in term 4 as some staff are taking long service leave. Mrs McCarthy is away the last 5 weeks of Term 3, Mr Collinge will be away the last 4 weeks of term, Mrs Wilcox is taking 2 weeks leave from 8th September to 19th September .
In Term 4 , I will be away on long service leave for the whole of Term 4 & returning to work in the new school year. In my absence Mr Brown will be the Acting Principal and Mrs Harris will be Acting Assistant Principal . She will continue with her REC responsibilities.
With staff on leave this will mean some classes will have different teachers. I am carefully planning to have minimum disruptions & that any affected classes have consistent teachers.
